Climb for the Kids 2019

Cotopaxi, Ecuador

The Mark Madsen Accessibility Fund was started by the Friends of Staunton State Park in 2016 at the request of his family in order to honor his memory and love of Staunton State Park. Mark was paralyzed in a car accident in 2001 and, with the use of Action Trackchairs, he was able to enjoy his beloved park before his passing in 2015. Thanks to his pioneering use of the trackchairs, with the help of staff from Craig Hospital, and with many generous donations from caring individuals, we have been able to purchase four Action Trackchairs for anyone in need to reserve and use free of charge at Staunton State Park, Colorado's 41st and most-recently opened state park. The first program of its kind in Colorado, we hope to see our Track Chair Program grow to other state parks in the future. Please help us continue to support this wonderful program with your donations.

Thank you!

Ryan Kelley and The Home Loan Expert team have been climbing mountains since 2015 to raise money and awareness to help families battling life threatening diseases. Ryan and his team are so moved by the kids and their families, that a Climb for the Kids initiative is introduced every year to bring awareness and support to active organizations like Friends of Staunton State Park, whose founding and funding of the groundbreaking Staunton Track Chair Program have allowed countless individuals with disabilities due to injuries and diseases, and their families, enjoy the outdoors when they otherwise couldn't. Being outdoors is healing for the mind, body, and soul and we are grateful to Ryan Kelley and his team for their support! You can find out more about Ryan Kelley and The Home Loan Expert here.
